Die National University ist eine moderne und innovative private Hochschule, die sich voll auf die Bedürfnisse ihrer Studierenden einstellt. Kultureller Austausch und Vielfalt spielen dabei eine sehr wichtige Rolle. Die Uni zeichnet sich durch ihre Vielfältigkeit aus. An keiner anderen Hochschule Kaliforniens erwerben mehr Angehörige sozialer und ethnischer Minderheiten Master-Abschlüsse als an der NU. Dabei stehen die Studierenden im Mittelpunkt. Dies spiegelt sich sowohl in der Lehre als auch in den zahlreichen Beratungs- und Unterstützungsangeboten für die persönliche Karriereentwicklung wider.
Flexibilität und persönliche Förderung werden an der NU groß geschrieben. Das akademische Jahr gliedert sich in Quarter, wobei die Kurse nicht parallel sondern hintereinander belegt werden. Ein Kurs dauert vier Wochen und ermöglicht die sehr intensive Auseinandersetzung mit dem Lehrinhalt. Dieses außergewöhnliche und einmalige System ermöglicht einen flexiblen Studienstart. Warum also nicht ein Auslandssemester von Oktober bis März einplanen und dem kalten Winter in Deutschland entfliehen? Viele Programme können darüber hinaus ganz nach den eigenen Bedürfnissen gestaltet und online absolviert werden.
Das Studienangebot ist vielfältig und an die neuesten Entwicklungen angepasst. Tagespolitische Themen finden sich in den Kursen genauso wieder wie die neuesten Erkenntnisse in Wissenschaft und Technik. Da die Kurse immer nur für vier Wochen veranlagt werden, sind die Lehrinhalte immer auf dem neuesten Stand.
Ob ein oder zwei Quarter an der NU – die Auswahl der Kurse ist riesig. Aus etwa 100 Bachelor- und Masterprogrammen kann gewählt werden. Die wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Programme bereiten auf Führungspositionen in einer multikulturellen und globalen Gesellschaft vor. An keiner anderen Uni in Kaliforniern werden so viele Lehrer aus- und weitergebildet. Zukünftige Ingenieure und Projektmanager im Baugewerbe erlernen an der NU die neuesten Trends und Entwicklungen. Weitere spannende und wegweisende Programme werden in den Bereichen Gesundheitswesen, Kommunikationswissenschaften/ Medien, Naturwissenschaften und Geisteswissenschaften angeboten.
Die zahlreichen Campi der NU sind in ganz Kalifornien verteilt. Die Standorte sind nach den neuesten Standards mit der modernsten Technik ausgestattet. Der Hauptsitz der Uni mit dem größten Angebot an Studienprogrammen befindet sich allein mit fünf Campi in San Diego. Americas Finest City lockt nicht nur wegen des angenehmen Klimas und den wunderschönen Stränden Studierende aus der ganzen Welt an - San Diego gehört unter anderem zu den bedeutendsten Zentren für Telekommunikations- und Biotechnologie.
In der achtgrößten Stadt der Vereinigten Staaten genießt Du das urbane Flair einer Metropole geprägt durch eine sehr relaxte Atmosphäre und Lebensart.
