Die richtige Mischung aus Theorie und praktischen Übungen sorgt dafür, dass die Absolventen der Queensland University of Technology (QUT) auf dem Arbeitsmarkt begehrt sind. Bei der Gestaltung ihrer Lehrpläne lässt die Universität sich von Firmen beraten. Durch Beziehungen zu internationalen Konzernen wie Boeing oder Microsoft ist die QUT stets über neue Entwicklungen und Geschäftspraktiken informiert. Die Studierenden haben die Wahl zwischen mehr als 650 Studienprogrammen.
Die flexible Gestaltung des Stundenplans ermöglicht jedem Studenten, seinen ganz individuellen Interessen nachzugehen. Das Angebot der QUT umfasst die Fachbereiche Naturwissenschaften, Ingenieurwesen, Wirtschaft, Informationstechnologie, Erziehungswissenschaft, Geisteswissenschaften, Sozialwissenchaften und Jura.

Die Studenten der QUT hstudieren auf modernen Campusanlagen. So gibt es beispielsweise vier große Bibliotheken und Computerräume, die rund um die Uhr genutzt werden können. Dank einer aktiven Studentenschaft ist das Campusleben der QUT sehr abwechselungsreich. Neben einer Orientierungswoche, internationalen Kulturfesten und Musikwettbewerben findet sogar ein Oktoberfest statt.
Der Hauptcampus Gardens Point liegt im Zentrum Brisbanes direkt am Botanischen Garten. Auf einem begrünten Hügel zwei Kilometer außerhalb der Innenstadt befindet sich der Kelvin Grove Campus, der auch als Hilltop Campus bekannt ist. Eine persönliche Atmosphäre genießen die Studierenden auf dem Carseldine Campus nördlich von Brisbane. Die Fahrt hierher dauert vom Zentrum aus etwa 30 Minuten; neben einem kostenlosen Pendelbus verkehren mehrere andere Busse und Züge.
Brisbane ist eine geschäftige Millionen-Stadt im subtropischen Queensland. Nur eine Autostunde entfernt laden schöne Strände und Buchten zum Entspannen ein.
