Die University of Canberra ist eine kleine Universität mit einer sehr persönlichen Atmosphäre. Die Professoren und Professorinnen kennen ihre Studierenden mit Namen und bieten eine individuelle Betreuung an. Der weitläufige und grüne Campus befindet sich nur wenige Kilometer vom Stadtzentrum Canberras entfernt. Der ruhige, grüne Campus liegt inmitten von 120 Hektar Parklandschaft mit Eukalyptusbäumen und ursprünglicher Vegetation am Lake Ginninderra. Campusweites W-LAN, eine gut ausgestattete Bibliothek, die übliche Infrastruktur aus Cafés, Bars, Postamt, Bank und Buchladen - der Campus der University of Canberra ist eine eigene kleine Welt für sich. Exotisch: Auf dem Weg zur nächsten Vorlesung kann es durchaus mal passieren, dass ein Koala den Weg kreuzt oder ein Känguru im Gebüsch verschwindet.
Canberra bietet abseits der großen Politik auch einen spannenden Mix an kultureller Vielfalt und kosmopolitischer Internatioanlität. Wer mehr sehr möchte, fährt ca. 3,5 Stunden bis nach Sydney oder 2 Stunden zu den spektakulären weißen Stränden der australischen Südküste.
