Innovation, Kreativität, Technologie - auf diese drei Grundpfeiler akademischer Exzellenz baut die University of Technology in Sydney. Global orientiert und lokal engagiert punktet die Universität im Herzen Sydneys mit praxisorientierter und einem interdisziplinären Ansatz - egal ob angehender Ingenieur oder Wirtschaftswissenschaftler: Hier lernen die unterschiedlichen Disziplinen for allem auch voneineander, der Blick über den Tellerrand des eigenen Studienfachs ist gewollt.
Für ihre erstklassige Lehre und Forschung wurde die Uni vom Federal Government´s Learning and Teaching Performance Fund 2008 und 2009 jeweils mit Bestnoten belohnt. Nicht verwunderlich, denn viele Professoren kommen direkt aus der Praxis und sorgen so dafür, dass die Studieninhalte stets den aktuellen Anforderungen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt angepasst werden.
Traditionell stark in den Wirtschafts- und Ingenieurwissenschaften sowie im IT-Bereich, bietet die UTS darüber hinaus Porgramme in Kommunikationswissenschaften, Kunst und Design, Architektur, Erziehungswissenschaft, Politik- und Sozialwissenschaften, Gesundheitswissenschaften und Naturwissenschaften zur Auswahl.
Der Hauptcampus der University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) befindet sich direkt im Zentrum Sydneys, am Broadway. Auch der Library and Markets Campus liegt zentral, wer es lieber ruhig mag, dem wird der Kurin-gai Campus in Lindfield zusagen. In der parkähnlich gestalteten Campusanlage fühlt man sich dem Outback gar nicht mehr so fern.
