An der Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne ist man nah dran an den Studierenden. Kleine Klassen und eine persönliche Atmosphäre gehören also zu den Vorteilen eines Studiums an der VU. Laut dem Australian Vice-Chancellors' Committee Report kann die Universität von sich behaupten, das beste Zahlenverhältnis von Lehrenden zu Studierenden in Australien aufzuweisen.
Praktisch und international: Auch Arbeitserfahrung können Studenten schon während ihres Abschlusses erwerben, denn in den meisten Kursen wird gleichzeitig gelernt und praktisch gearbeitet. Das Lernumfeld an der VU ist zudem kulturell sehr vielfältig: Die Studierenden und Mitarbeiter der Hochschule kommen aus über 90 Ländern. Das Fächerangebot der VU umfasst die Bereiche Geisteswissenschaften, Erziehungswissenschaften, Wirtschaft, Jura, Gesundheitswissenschaften, Ingenieurwesen und Naturwissenschaften. In vielen aufstrebenden Disziplinen ist die Universität führend. Dazu gehören Multimedia, Tourismus, Biotechnologie und Transport, Lagerwesen, Distribution und Logistik. Partnerschaften mit wichtigen Organisationen, wie dem Austin Research Institute, einem der führenden medizinischen Forschungsinstitute Australiens oder der Malthouse Theatre Company bieten den Studierenden in den entsprechenden Studienbereichen tolle Praktikumsmöglichkeiten und die Möglichkeit, schon während des Studiums wertvolle Kontakte für spätere Berufsleben zu knüpfen.

Ein guter Ort für Wirtschaftswissenschaftler: Der Studienbereich Hospitality and Tourism wurde bereits drei Mal für die exzellente Lehre vom mit dem Australian Tourism Award ausgezeichnet. Auch die australische Regierung empfiehlt diesen Studiengang; die akademischen Standards sind vom International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education geprüft worden.
Campi hat die Victorian University viele, die Studierenden können zwischen zehn verschiedenen Campi in und um Melbourne herum wählen. Alle Standorte sind bequem mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen und verfügen über modernste Forschungs- und Computereinrichtungen inklusive Wireless LAN, neueste Multimediatechnologie, einen Online-Bibliotheksservice und medizinische Einrichtungen. Für internationale Studierende wird zudem Hilfe in akademischen aber auch persönlichen Belangen geleistet.
Das Campusleben hat auch viel für die Zeit nach den Seminaren zubieten. Je nach Interesse kann man sich einem der über 50 Clubs und Societies anschließen, Sport treiben oder einfach in einem der Cafés entspannen.
